We believe the future of design is not only about how it looks, but about how it lives.
Sustainability is not a program — it is a principle woven into everything we create.
Our commitment to responsible sourcing, renewable energy, waste reduction, and enduring
craftsmanship reflects a belief that creating beautiful furniture comes with a greater responsibility.
Progress Powered by the Sun.
Our newest solar installation in Hillsville, Virginia, builds on earlier investments in Conover,
North Carolina. Together, Vanguard's solar installations are projected to generate approximately
1.9 million kilowatt-hours of renewable electricity annually—
equivalent to the annual electricity use of roughly 175 average U.S. homes.
AT HILLSVILLE ALONE, THE NEW SOLAR INSTALLATION IS EXPECTED TO OFFSET
APPROXIMATELY 95% OF THE MANUFACTURING FACILITY'S ANNUAL ELECTRICITY USE.
These investments reflect our ongoing commitment to responsible manufacturing
and the communities we call home.

Every Resource Considered.
95% of our post-manufacturing waste is recycled.
From wood and metal to paper, fabrics, plastic, and corrugated materials,
we're committed to reducing waste and making responsible use of our resources.
We consider the environmental impact of our designs throughout the manufacturing process,
continually finding ways to make better use of the materials that go into every creation.
For us, sustainability is not a trend. It is an inheritance.
We honor the earth by crafting furniture designed not to be discarded, but to be lived with, cherished, and passed on.
With great design comes great responsibility.
From the materials we select to the energy that powers our workshops,
we view environmental stewardship as part of our ongoing legacy.
